The Flori-de-Leon is a 55+ community and one of the few co-ops in the downtown area. Built-in 1926 before A/C was standard, most condos are with window units for cooling. There are 4 penthouse suites on the top floor. Between those are two rooftop patios, and two indoor lounges for common use. The indoor lounges are named after baseball greats Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig, both of whom stayed here for spring training in the 1920s and 30s.
